Children's medical has seriously lost their way. Childrens' well-being was top on their list for years but not anymore. They cancelled a appointment because they felt it was not needed. What gives them that right? After 18 years, I will be pulling both of my kids from their care.
TERRIBLE. "I Don't know" is unacceptable from a doctor. Is 10 years of medical school not a requirement to become a doctor anymore. If you dont know what's causing the child to become ill, then you send them to someone who can, you order every test until you figure it , That's how doctors were when I was a kid. My kids (ages 10, 8 and 6)have been seeing Dr. Nwahiwe for around 4 years now and I have been meaning to leave this review for some weeks now, glad I finally got to it. Dr. Nwahiwe is very calm and patient, she takes her time with each kid, doesn't rush during checks and sick child visit. She's also very resourceful and thorough, I guess that would explain why I am still with her to date. My son absolutely loves his doctor Dr Lawton. She listens to our concerns and always helps us come up with a game plan.... with a child on the spectrum that's important. Mu son is no verbal and doesn't know how to say he's hurting....
Worst of the worst; We moved to the Town of Poughkeepsie a few months ago, so I needed to change the medical office as soon as possible due to the schools. I made the appointment 3-4 months ahead, but 1 or 2 months after, the receptionist called me and said to me that the assigned doctor won't be in that day.
