Soo annoyed with the management and the on site stuff except for the doorman and the cleaner. They dont respond to calls and doesn’t respect others time, JASON on site manger made an appointment to come check the apartment but didn’t answer or respond back and kept us on hanging without responding. Never seen or experienced such bad bad management who don’t respond or care about anything. Had to literally go to the office to find out every single thing. They respond only after we said we want to take legal action. Had issue ... read more
Very large building with hundreds of apartments. Unfortunately you can see people moving in and out seven days a week at all hours without any restrictions. What make it worse is the fact that many tenants don't have any respect for their neighbors. Loud parties with 8 -10 or more participants are taken place on the terraces of the apartments till very late at night way after midnight, sometimes two or three in the morning and never any security personal or doorman try to put an end of them. Living here for 2 years and while the buildings layout is nice, it is in a good area and the general employees are friendly, the problems with The Drake outweigh the benefits. Problems include: -Elevators breaking down weekly -Roach infestation -Water randomly being turned off with no prior warning -Heat and hot water being turned off with no prior warning The building feels like it's being held together with duct tape and the lackluster management are doing nothing to help it, just the bare minimum to keep it standing.
We lived in The Drake for one year during the pandemic (2019-2020). We were definitely reeled in by the kind agent who showed us around and the newer units. Our balcony was huge, which was a plus during that lockdown period. Maintenance was always readily available and efficient whenever we had any minor issues or concerns. The location is perfect, as literally everything is easily accessible by foot. Parking was a headache, but that’s NYC in general. Yes, there are bugs; we didn’t have any issues within our apartment, but t... read more
This place has sadly turned into a dump! The updated apartments may look good at first glance, but good luck getting anything fixed. Leaking roof, pealing paint, broken appliances, no one will return your emails or even pick up the phone. The elevators are constantly broken and the roach and waterbugs infestation is real. And the owners just keep switching management companies which do absolutely nothing at this point.
The Drake has a 4.7 star rating with 30 reviews.
