I wanted to update my extremely negative review of The Flats At Big Tex. New management company, new day! I recently met with the regional manager for the new management company. She is not messing around! We have already seen a number of significant positive changes. This complex is located at a very convenient location along the river walk and has two e-bike stations which helps which helps with my lifestyle! I had some concerns about mosquitos being so close to the river walk, but it wasn't too bad. I like that the inside of my unit has modern finishes and is keyless. I feel like the buildings are secure since you need a key to walk into the building itself. There is a package locker inside the mailroom, but packages are sometimes left on mailroom table. I wanted to take the time to write a review about my apartment at Flat at Big Tex. I've stayed here for a few months now and have experienced the coolest neighbors, events, and overall clean property. I always read reviews before I select something as expensive as an apartment. I am looking for value, location, and a sense of community. I realize a crime has no address and I've never lived anywhere at this price point with a doorman or round-the-clock security so I ALWAYS take my things out of my ( luxury) car and lock up. Let me tell you the people at this place who work the office are so friendly. Me and my husband Chris have been apartment hunting for a few weeks and no luck. Till we came here and we move in the 1st of next month. I believe the lady that helped us her name is Joli . And let me tell u she treated us with so much respect and made us feel so comfortable. You can tell she loves what she dose.. Thank you so much Ms. Joli me and my husband appreciate you.

Location is great, three breweries within walking distance, 1.5 miles from Mission Concepcion, and 2 miles from downtown Riverwalk. Don't pay much attention to the trains, even at night they fade into the background and I'm right up against them. Service from leasing is good, trash service is as expected (valet) and reliable. Facilities could use more attention. I haven't rented in 40 years, so I didn't really know what to expect when I chose this complex. I am so in love with this little community, this gorgeous apartment, and the impeccable customer service, that it is difficult to verbalize how happy I am. I feel like family with all the wonderful staff at The Flats at Big Tex. They have all been so helpful and kind, and super attentive to my needs. I rented a furnished apartment here while in San Antonio for military duty. The apartment was lovely, I was very pleased with how military-friendly they were, even when I had to leave early. I highly recommend the complex. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because it was a bit loud.
