⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My experience at The Haven Detox Center in Lancaster, Texas was truly life-changing, and a huge part of that is thanks to Merdith! The Haven is an amazing place! The staff are top tier and go above and beyond to ensure that people are comfortable, especially during an “uncomfortable” time. The nursing staff, discharge team, and techs are so easy to talk to, and are always willing to listen and give encouragement! If you’re looking for/needing to find a detox facility, I would HIGHLY recommend checking out The Haven!
I was told by admissions that this detox facility is to get you completely off of the substance you come in for. However, upon speaking to nursing, the nurses explained that The Haven is primarily a “stabilization unit” where they get you to a stable dose and then transfer you elsewhere to finish the detoxification. If your expectation is to fully come off of a medication or substance, I would advise to look elsewhere. The Haven Texas has a great team and a strong program. The staff are kind, professional, and clearly care about the work they do. The outreach coordinators are especially thoughtful and supportive, and everything feels well organized and intentional. It’s a place run by people who genuinely want to help.
The Haven is truly saving lives. You get to detox safely, the people REALLY care about you, and if you want help getting into longterm treatment, they take care of EVERYTHING for you, let you pick where you want to go, and take you there when you’re ready. 10/10 would recommend.
