I was referred here in 2018 when it was called serenity by a behavioral hospital for addiction, and PTSD. Arriving was like a dream. Beautiful establishment!! But looks can be decieving. I had multiple blow ups with staff, sexually harassed by the male nurse (at the time) and the structure, however much needed, was extream! It was more like shock therapy than rehab. I attended The Meadows Texas in January of 2024 not knowing what to expect with this being my first time going to rehab. From the moment I was greeted by Kevin my anxiety was immediately put at ease. There are SO MANY staff members I am sincerely thankful for that words cannot express the gratitude I feel for them! I was physically attacked by another The staff took a very lightly and even let the guy continue to walk around on monitored after he tackled me to the ground. Ray was not a very good therapist. All we did was go over inventory sheets for 2.5 hours every single morning. His responses to your problems hardly ever made sense. My review is based on my initial interactions with the staff at The Meadows Texas. My decision to choose this program for my Mother was made with complete confidence. The team at The Meadows Texas took time to listen, provided comforting words, gave advice, and explained their program in detail.
