My review is based on my initial interactions with the staff at The Meadows Texas. My decision to choose this program for my Mother was made with complete confidence. The team at The Meadows Texas took time to listen, provided comforting words, gave advice, and explained their program in detail. I attended The Meadows Texas in January of 2024 not knowing what to expect with this being my first time going to rehab. From the moment I was greeted by Kevin my anxiety was immediately put at ease. There are SO MANY staff members I am sincerely thankful for that words cannot express the gratitude I feel for them! After working in this field for many years, I was appalled in the level of care my family member received. If you do not treat dual diagnosis, you need to let family know that from the start. Their history was provided. It is not right to kick someone out for mental health issues that you were aware of during the most delicate time of their life. No violence occurred. I received treatment here for 30 days back in 2019! I enjoyed every bit of my time here. I was treated with the most care and love from everyone of the staff! They also showed me further sober living options in San Diego California. I stayed there for 9 month and was able to find myself. I moved back to Texas and today I have 4 years clean and sober from drugs! Best thing I ever did was accepting the opportunity my parents gave me to go to this wonderful rehab.
Sunspire was my 2nd treatment center to attend. The first treatment I went because my family saw an issue and my life was in turmoil, so I went. But that is the key if you are not ready and refuse to realize you have a problem the treatment will not work! I will say comparing the two treatment centers, Sunspire has 100% interest in treating the patient not money driven as some have said in their reviews!
