I just moved in to The Niche apartments and I have to say I am loving this place!!! The apartment was super clean and roomy. They are dog friendly which was a must for me. Management was really nice and patient with me, as this was my first time renting an apartment and I had lots of questions. Thanks The Niche more »

I moved from Dallas for graduate school and have been here since. I love the trees and rustic background, that looks very homey to me. The management is accommodating, friendly and very helpful. I have been here for three or more years, and the management makes me feel at home. The apartment community is quiet and respectful of each other. I believe it is a good and safe place to live and would gladly recommend to someone who cherishes solitude and safety for them and their family. more »

My husband, my two labs, and I lived here for 6 months. My husnand is in the Navy and these apartments are RIGHT down the road from Fort Sam Houston base. It was about a 3 min drive to it max and that was with traffic. It was a great location. We were initially worried about it because it was off a busy road but it is pushed off in the back, surrounded by trees so much so that it was quiet. We forgot we lived close to a busy road and we loved it. The manager is AMAZING! Her name is Jennifer and she was incredibly nice and respectful. If there was a problem, she was quick to respond and even if someone was just being silly she was great about still remaining respectful and making all parties happy. They had these get togethers, for example, wednesday was wine nights. I didnt figure this out until the day I left. That was my fault as I ignored the fliers because I assumed it wasn't my kind of thing. On my last night there I stumbled across it to use the Wifi in the lobby for school work. It was so welcoming and all neighbors of all ages came together and accepted one another. The manager also offered me her office so I could have piece and quiet. I loved it and my only regret was I didn't get more involved. It was the first time I actually got to know everyone. Jennifer and her husband were so kind and they provided the wines and glasses. Everyone was just so kind ans welcoming. They also renovated EVERYTHING (apartments, exercise room, lobby, etc.). It is now modern and sleek. They included washer and dryer in the units. Its very quaint. There is a bike/ running path that goes through part of the city and other parks just behind the lot. My husband found it and its paved. It was awesome for our energetic dogs. They were dog friendly there too and kept up the premises. We loved it here and the prices were definitely reasonable. If you are in the military and coming to San Antonio for the first time, I know its frightening, not knowing if it is safe, a good location, etc for your family but trust me this is a great option and checks almost every need. It is a gated community, down the street from a grocery store, the base, schools, shopping centers, food, storage, parks and running trail, etc. more »

Also what I out below for rent and stuff was what we had but they definitely have a lot bigger and always seemed to have specials. more »

#1 choice in apartment living
From my family to yours, I recommend the Niche! Super family oriented, pet friendly, well kept and most of all professionally managed by a wonderful staff. I am hap
py to call this place home and I plan to stay here until they don't let me anymore.. Living at a community ran by the best manager and maintenance manager has been a wonderful change for my family. Jennifer and Ralph deserve 10 stars in every department for the hard work and dedication they bring to this place.. I love my home and it is most definitely thanks to those 2. more »

I have lived here now for two years and I am about to sign my lease for another. When I first moved in the complex was privately owned the staff was very friendly and personable, I appreciated the size of the property. I was nervous when the property was bought by a large company, however they have done an OUTSTANDING job. This is the fifth complex I have lived in since 2010 and the first one that has felt like a community and I have called home. The apartment manager Jen, has worked to bring this community together, planning events that target all of the various residence. The maintenance staff works hard to make sure things are taken care of quickly and correctly. Parking is a bit of a pain some days, but they have created various options to provide solutions. I have absolutely loved living here and would recommend it to anyone who asked! more »

I have really loved living here the last few months and am about to renew my lease. Jennifer (the officer manager) is FANTASTIC! Anytime my roommate or I have had an issue, she jumps into action immediately. Even if it's her off day. The resident events are great (especially Wine Down Wednesday). I even love my neighbors. more »

I love living here. The grounds are nice and well-maintained. The apartments are great too. Anytime my roommate or I have had an issue, Jennifer (the manager) jumps into action. Even when it's her off day and she's out with her kids. She's very friendly and makes sure to know all of the residents. The resident events (like Wine Down Wednesday) are great. The dog park is somewhat small, but more than enough room for the dogs to play in. The other residents are pretty friendly too. There are only a few buildings, so it's nice and quiet. more »

I have been living in various apartment from San Antonio to the east coast and when I say they have the greatest staff, it is not an exaggeration. If I have ever have an issue with anything in the apartment, maintenance is on top of it. They have even helped me out when it was outside their responsibilities. Management is very resident oriented, they are constantly coming up with ideas to make this a wonderful place to call home. I tell my fellow soldiers about some of the random “Resident appreciation” and they cannot believe it. It’s the little things that speak volumes. I came home from a 13 hour day to find the maintenance guys at the gate handing out s’mores and popcorn…seriously s’mores and popcorn, just as a “have a nice day”. As long as I live in San Antonio, this will be my home. Oh, and they are very military friendly, so if you are on PCS orders to Fort Sam, it is 5 mins down the road. There is no reason to drive all around looking for a clean, safe, family and pet friendly place to live, just come here. more »
