I lived at 915 Carmen for 14 years from 2008-2023. The proximity to Lake Michigan is, of course, a major benefit. I lived in a studio for most of the time, and then a one bedroom for the last two years. The one bedroom has a pretty cool floor plan, and good light from the north. The structure of the building is quite sound. The plumbing is old and probably getting renovated. The building changed owners in 2021. Sept.2023 Had to give an update since my last review as things have changed. The new owners are finding there footing in juggling all the things with all the buildings they bought. The water gets turned off all the time and the ripple affect effecting the residents as they have to clean up the mess in the apartment with water everywhere. The owners seem to care very little as they do not live here and have to deal with no water after hours or days. Love this building and the work being done to update it. Seeing owners take pride in their properties really says a lot. And I cant forget to mention the amount of care and hard work the property manager, Alina Kindelan, puts into this place. She's hard working, responsive and caring, all property managers can take a page out of her book!
Such a great building and I’m so glad to know ownership is really putting in the work to not only to maintain but also rehab with some really nice modern finishes. If you like the area I would highly recommend The Onyx on Sheridan.
