The Prairie Recovery Center is unlike other facilities. I've gratefully been sober since being a patient at The Prairie in 2023, and I'm forever appreciative to the owners and staff for their wholistic approach to treatment, which was life changing for me. I didn't know therapy could work until my stay here -- the therapists were exceptional! I attended The Prairie summer 2020 for substance abuse and to deal with the Grief from the death of my Wife. The facilities were very comfortable and the Clinical Staff was top notch. I especially appreciated their attention to physical health. The meals were health and tasty. They have good exercise equipment and bring in Trainers and Yoga instructors several times a week. Last April I visited the Prairie. I was unable to make decisions on my own. Unbenounced to me, my chosen family was researching facility's 2 months prior. When the intervention came, I accepted the trip. The staff at the Prairie went above and beyond caring for my well being. My aweful detox included 2 trips to the ER, and another trip to the ICU, for a total of 7 days. I barely remember any of it, but I do remember the staff at the Prairie caring for me throughout.
