My wife Tiffany was a patient at The Rehabilitation Institute of Southern Illinois for 10 days in 2026. Unfortunately, her stay was marked by disappointment and several eye-opening incidents. if i could rate 0 i would have. employees are mean to patients and not attentive whatsoever!! do not listen to patient or patient advocate. Medical condition was worse when left there than we left hospital to go there. Everything is a mess. Ask staff why are you doing this or changing that and sane response "doctors orders" yet I never met or seen a doctor even when requested to speak to the doctor. Avoid this place at all cost. My wife has been in this Center for 3 full days. We are now on day 4 now. The staff for speech, occupational, and physical therapy are wonderful, attentive, and reliable..so far. I am only giving two stars because of the people who do therapy. The larger issue is the nurses, techs, and basically everyone else who is there to care for your loved ones in-between therapies. The responsivness for bathroom breaks (especially when they are given drugs that make them go #2 more) , water refills (hydration), bed alarms (if you get ... read more
