From start to finish I found the service excellent. Our Funeral Director, Judson, was professional, attentive, prompt and went beyond our expectations. He knew exactly what to do in helping us navigate a difficult time. I recommend the "Simple Alternative" without reservation.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I was most disappointed with the escalation in fees when I went to settle the account. I was originally quoted $4,100.98 for a basic cremation, which included taxes. We added a 15min family visitation immediately before cremation. I was told that this would cost an extra $65.00. When I arrived at the Lesmill location, I was handed an invoice for $4,842.10. My mother passed away in 2012. We were very pleased with the service and attention we received at this funeral home. In 2014 we needed additional certificates for the death and cremation, and Simple Alternative was co-operative and friendly.
My Dad passed away in 2008 and I couldn’t be more pleased with the type of service I received. They were comforting, warm and understanding, tailoring every detail of my request. I would highly recommend their service to anyone who’s going through loosing a love one for the first time. I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
