Great bar if you want a drink while having your toes in the sand. They have an extensive drink list, but a VERY limited food menu. They serve food in to-go containers even if you eat there probably for easy clean up. My husband got a cold beer, and I had a $13 Lava Flow - which was a watered down, melted mess with very little taste. The BBQ chicken pizza was delicious though - and the view right out on the beach couldn't be beat. Was here in the evening for a birthday party at the rental space near the bar. The fun continued at The Star after. For a Saturday night it was not crowded at all and it was a gorgeous, low humidity evening to enjoy such a venue. Plenty of seating, along with wonderful cabanas and fire pits to relax around. Family style games are laid out. The prices were okay, about what you would expect to pay. One of the best beach bars in the area. Good views. Great music. Happy hour prices are solid too. They just close too early at night. We got our last drink and then had the doors closed on us ha ha.
Avoid Star Beach Bar in Wildwood, NJ, at all costs! This place is an absolute rip-off with terrible prices and horrendous food. I ordered what was supposed to be a wood-fired pizza, and what I got was an abomination. For $17, I received a pathetic, tiny portion that looked and tasted worse than a cheap frozen pizza. This is a bar that is on the beach. The bar offers a wide variety of items and brings a peaceful vibe. Pros: The location is very inviting, along with kind service. Someone is usually giving a live performance, making a relaxing and chill environment. The food was delicious as well. Cons: The service took a while to come to my table, and caused confusion whether they would actually come to us.
