After his stroke in November, my father spent about a month on The Stayton's skilled nursing floor. I'll start with what we liked: the facility is clean and very well maintained. The quality of the food was good. The staff were caring and attentive. What we did not like: the over-medication. My father wasn't ready for agressive in-patient rehab, so we ended up in temporary skilled nursing at the Stayton. Stayton Independent Living is absolutely wonderful. My parents moved there over 8 years ago. My father passed away after a stay in assisted living early on. We were very happy with his experience there and have no issues to report. My mother has had a wonderful experience in Independent Living starting with a social group of friends, grief sessions, bridge club, dining groups, events downtown using Stayton transportation, and more. Sometimes when we visit we stay in a suite they make available for visiting family so see the ... read more

It has been a very good experience for many reasons. I very muc h enjoy my apartment. I love being able to interact with so many interesting people and have made many wonderful friends that I thoroughly enjoy. It is so comforting to be able to take physical therapy right here with our outstanding therapists and have rehab right here at home when the need arises.

My mom moved into Memory Care a year and a half ago and we really have not had any issues and feel my mom is taken really good care of. She needs full assistance and the care team there is always very attentive to not just her but all the residents. I visit often and I have never seen anything but positive interactions with the residents. The nursing & care team is always friendly to me (& residents) and good to fill me in with anything I might need to know. Mai, the Lifestyle Assistant, is also amazing. She does such fun a... read more

May be a good place to live and eat well, get hair fixed. However, it falls short when it comes to providing quality rehabilitation services.
