Deployed a new payment system that got rid of the ability to pay by e-checking through specific banks (seemingly the ones that operate via VISA) and in order to use those debt cards you get to pay service charge double the amount it was in the previous system. There was no warning for VISA renters. However there was plenty of warning to let us know that they were expecting to have issues with the system rollout and asked us to pretty, pretty please navigate around their inability to manage this failure. Do not recommend. We lived here for a year and a half with nothing but problems. The apartment is fine, amenities are fine, but the quality of the building is horrible. You hear every movement from your neighbor. We lived under a couple who just had a new baby, so we were woken up every night, all night. They also had a dog who barked the ENTIRE time she was home alone. We had over a year worth of video evidence, the office never did anything. My boyfriend and I moved here in 2022 and I have to say this is the best apartment we have lived. We were looking for a 2 bedroom and everywhere we looked around New Albany and Westerville area was way overpriced. We finally decided to take a look and we fell in love. The office staff is super nice, maintenance is quick, I love how they communicate all the community events going on and on top of that I love how they will warn you ahead of time when maintenance will be in your apartment. I do not recommend any apartment owned by Ardent communities. My husband and I lived at the Woods at Perry Lane for 3 years and never missed a payment, yet our rent increased by 20% by our last contract with them. They also overcharged us by thousands on two occasions and remedied it by giving our money back to us on as a credit. They did offer to return the money by check, but it would take 45 days to send to us. One time is an accident, two times is being careless. My husband and I are also very clean people. This community is in a nice area. The property is maintained well. The only issues I have is that I wish there was more parking and I liked the grass better than the rocks by the walk ways. Most of the residents I have met are super nice which is a good thing because I have a 4 year old who likes to talk to everyone. Joey and Shai in the office are both super nice and quickly works to resolve any issues.
