This recent car rental experience was facilitated through Corporate Traveller an extension arranged via Jay at Thrifty. It evident that there was a clear extension of my booking orchestrated by Corporate Traveller, yet there appeared to be a significant failure in internal communication within Thrifty. Despite this, I was inexplicably threatened with police action, which I find wholly unacceptable and distressing for not returning the car. No staff at airport terminal desk. Message to proceed to carpark office. No staff in carpark office 3 customers waiting in carpark office for 10 minutes before staff member appeared. Staff member very courteous when he did appear and apologised for keeping us all waiting. The reason we had to wait was because he was manning both the Thrifty office and Hertz office at peak time when flights arrived. NOT GOOD ENOUGH HERTZ. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!
Bad experience. Plane was late so rang thrifty to get my car and it said they were closed even though online said they were still open. Got to the counter closed. Asked a staff member she said go outside and go to thrifty. We did and it was shut. Went to go line up for a car. Thought I would go back and ask hertz. And yep they helped me thank goodness. There is no signage to say hertz could help because thrifty is closed. We could have paid for 2 uber trips. Other families were in the same boat!!! Where is Ur signs. Never ag... read more
I had a great experience with Thrifty at Adelaide airport both at pick-up and return. Staff were accommodating and probably the quickest service I’ve ever received. Thank you!
The Thrifty hire care we have has no navigation services available unless you subscribe to a Toyota service which it won’t allow you to do. The quoted prices we were given all of a sudden had airport and govt. taxes added to the insurance cover when we went to pick it up at the airport. The USB port is not even a standard USB port so you can’t even charge a phone! We spent the entire visit looking at a mobile phone for directions.
