While many of the therapists, mine included would get five stars off the charts, the actual business of Thriveworks is horrible. They put you in a position to discuss any billing issues directly with your therapist instead of them handling. What an incredible model, to put people struggling with mental health challenges in money conversations with their therapist. I paid an invoice almost 9 months ago now that I realized after had been coded incorrectly and I should have been refunded partially for the difference. For 9 mont... read more
Had a terrible experience with Thriveworks. Was not told the therapist I was seeing wasn't licensed/still in training until I met with her. I decided to keep an open mind and continue with the session. She was incredibly awkward, ended the session 15 minutes early, and I left feeling worse than when I started. I had been to "real" therapy before, this was not okay or standard. They refunded my membership when I complained and never charged me for the session. I didn't think anything of it, because they had given me a refund,... read more
Heather Chateauneuf is a fantastic therapist. She has worked with many of my students in the past. I have seen Heather provide extraordinary support and care to students in mental health crisis. She is reliable and compassionate. She gives her undivided attention and effort to each and every client. She is able to connect with a wide range of different people in order to build the relationship and trust needed to do this work. We joke all of the time how I wish she never worked at my school because I would have loved to have... read more
Thriveworks Counseling made an incredible investment in their quality of client care by having Courtney Saunders on their team. I had the pleasure of collaborating with her on several cases that required flexibility, enthusiasm, and lots of cooperation. When the rest of us felt we exhausted all creative avenues for support, Courtney remained consistent in her strengths-based world-view. This kind of team member is crucial in this field (Social Work). Sometimes all it takes is one person who believes it CAN be done! As a res... read more
I am positive that Thriveworks is paying colleagues and bots to rate 5-star reviews, it's a common thing in the business world. Want to know why? Because this is all purely business and a money-making scam. Why do you think they're making people pay a ridiculously expensive fee to continue to work with them? They prey on vulnerable people, especially young people in order to make a fortune. Disgusting. My son had to wait for 30 minutes just for his therapist just to show up just for her to say that she had been waiting the e... read more
