We’ve only had about 4 sessions but I really like her Therapist. It’s taken our daughter a little while to warm up to her but I believe it’s going great. I know it takes time and I think her Therapist N.OBI is a good fit for our daughter.
She was friendly, but I felt like she didn't know as much about trans issues and she should have. I also feel like the process to be entered into the system should be able to be done largely by the patient. In order to minimize the amount of time that the logistical things take. For instance, I could have pre-entered my allergy information, or my emergency contact etc. I had filled out all forms required by theiveworks, and the additional time was unnecessary considering I was paying for it. The provider is great. Idk if the video, zoom, phone sessions are right for me. I had thought I would be going to an office, 1on1, with me in a chair, or on a couch, spilling my guts. He does let me ramble some and asks about my family life and how and what I've been up too. I don't like those 2 questioniers they want filled out before my sessions. Same thing every 2 weeks, with pretty much my same responses.
It was my initial appointment, yet I immediately felt at ease, and I believe there is immense potential for future sessions to provide me with the mental health support I require. I am looking forward to embarking on this healing journey.
Never been real comfortable with the thought of getting therapy , had my first session and wish I'd done it sooner. She was very easy to talk to and made me feel very comfortable. I'm ready for my second session and would recommend her to anyone needing help. Thank you Dr. Paula St John
