I normally don’t leave reviews, but I feel like people should know what happened to me. I had an appointment scheduled with Thriveworks, but over the weekend I got sick with food poisoning. I also had an important job interview that had to be rescheduled to the same time as my therapy session. As soon as I realized the conflict, I immediately contacted Thriveworks to reschedule, not cancel. The clinicians are fantastic - it's the admin team that is horrible. I followed my therapist from her old practice to Thriveworks. When setting up an appointment with her at Thriveworks, I checked if they take my insurance. They verified that my clinician takes my insurance. Please note, they make it mandatory that you have a credit card on file in order to schedule your first appointment. Update: It happened again. Less than 3 months. Edit: Changed to 1 star. After speaking with the “specialist” on the phone Thriveworks set me up with a therapist out of my insurance network. Great timing! I was in the hospital for over a month and I go back to work tomorrow so now I have to find another therapist. Won’t be them. Good luck to everyone else. I just received a text asking to review my first visit. I rated it one star because it didn’t happen. I was looking for a therapist ASAP and I chose someone who had availability the next day. An hour and a half before the appointment that I so desperately need right now, it was cancelled because apparently availability for next day appointments isn’t accurate. When they sent the cancellation email, I was also told someone would be reaching out later in the day with alternate days/times, which never happened.

I was notified at 12:22 pm that my 9 am appointment was cancelled as a result of the counselor. Since it was my first visit, not a great start. When you pay for these services you expect better.
