The clinicians are fantastic - it's the admin team that is horrible. I followed my therapist from her old practice to Thriveworks. When setting up an appointment with her at Thriveworks, I checked if they take my insurance. They verified that my clinician takes my insurance. Please note, they make it mandatory that you have a credit card on file in order to schedule your first appointment. Update: It happened again. Less than 3 months. Edit: Changed to 1 star. After speaking with the “specialist” on the phone Thriveworks set me up with a therapist out of my insurance network. Great timing! I was in the hospital for over a month and I go back to work tomorrow so now I have to find another therapist. Won’t be them. Good luck to everyone else. I like my therapist and the many options for times to meet with them. Thriveworks admin support is very helpful and responds in a timely manner. I recommend this to anyone who wants telehealth counseling.
I scheduled my appointment last week and the clinician canceled my appointment the day of less than two hours before the appointment time. I called in the hopes of scheduling with someone else since it was our first time anyways and they said because it was canceled less than 48 hours advance notice I can’t reschedule for 24 hours. I told them I didn’t cancel it the clinician did and they said they still couldn’t help me reschedule regardless of who canceled it. gotta let yall know, i cant speak for the clinicians bc i didnt use them but the actual structure of how this company works is terrible. i was never sent email confirmations of appts. when i called to cancel appts and the membership, i was told it was done, only to be charged for the next 6 months. when i called to get refunds i got a few refunds but not all. I ended up calling back to get the rest refunded monthly for 6 months. it was a longggg process between calling the number listed and then being shuffled between them ... read more
