⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five stars for the outstanding service I received—something I experienced for the first time at Timpson. Akram, a cover manager who had travelled a long distance to cover a shift, greeted me with a genuine smile and a positive, can-do attitude. I’ve had disappointing experiences with Timpson staff in the past, but this interaction completely restored my trust in their customer service. Someone who truly delivers service with a smile makes a huge difference. Thank you, Akram, for your help and professionalism.
I bought a high-end vintage Cartier Santos Galbee watch from a local jewellers and the bracelet was huge. They couldn't or wouldn't adjust it to fit me same day. They wanted to send it away to their specialist workshop which surprised me because although it's a high end watch the bracelet is a standard link design, it wasn't complicated. Staff are very friendly but more staff are needed. I dropped off some boots for external repair nearly 3 weeks ago, and paid in full. I was told they'd be ready in 2 weeks and someone would call with a update but not heard anything and the phone is not answered. I went in person today and Chris (temporary cover) apologised and is trying to get an update. At 11.23am on a Wednesday, this place was not open, so I walked over to Greggs to buy something, came back and it still was not open. So I left, wasted my time.
Very disappointing experience. The shoemaker is not competent. He repaired my shoe, but it came apart almost immediately before his eyes. When I tried to speak with him about it, he was rude and used threatening and bad language. I don't know how they hire such people. I strongly advise against using his services—it’s better to throw your shoes away than take them to this shop.
