Dr. Seelhammer had wonderful bedside manner. He took the time to ask questions and listen to my issues. After the initial examination, he gave a diagnosis and a thorough action plan to resolve the issue. I felt comfortable throughout the entire appointment. I would highly recommend Dr. Seelhammer.
Very impressed with his knowledge and down to earth manner. First visit was the entire checkup, took off some suspicious lesions, then called me personally with the results. Second visit was to have a procedure done, he explained everything fully before starting and during. Told my wife that she could stay in the room, she chose not to, but then afterwards, he gave her a complete rundown of the procedure and what to watch for and help with at home. Our son has a benign nevus on his scalp, in our process of trying to discover what it was we were referred to Dermatology Consultants PA in Woodbury. The pediatric dermatologist that met with us hardly glanced at our son's scalp (didn't even touch him to move hair aside to really see our concern) and then proceeded to use medical terms to describe cradle cap. If you want a dermatologist who asks questions and then listens to your answers, Dr. Seelhammer is NOT the dermatologist for you. After an initial visit and a quick "pat" diagnosis, I did a return visit to explain that the treatment had not worked. He gave me yet another quick "pat" diagnosis. In both cases, he brushed off my attempts to explain when and where I contracted an unusual skin condition. Or maybe he brushed me off because I'm over 65? Totally unexceptable.
