I'm not sure why Google is posting this under my husband's name, but I wanted to share my experience today getting a mammogram. I was very pleased to realize that they offered free valet parking. I get super nervous parking in hospital lots, parking structures and such. I didn't get the guys name but he was young he greeted me with a smile and was quick to retrieve my car when I was finished. I have to say that the mammogram was anything but what I expected. Not a hint of pain, all very calm, nothing unpleasant, of course a lot had to do with the explanations and the support of the radiology tech who did the exam, super friendly and at all times pending that I felt comfortable and calm. The machine was pretty awesome, and the test itself were super simple, I only felt the pressure of the plates, which were plastic and not metal as I imagined. Friendly and professional. It's a very caring and supportive atmosphere and even though they deal with breast care all day, every day they somehow manage to make you feel as if your situation is important and unique. Every single person I encounter is kind and compassionate. Even the gowns are good!
Not sure what's wrong this year (2018) but I can't get hold of anyone! I have called, left messages, tried to schedule online, to no avail. Now all of a sudden I get a voice message on my cell phone saying I have an appointment scheduled for June 8th at 2 p.m. NO ONE contacted me in the first place about this appointment, even after I've tried so hard to contact you. The scheduling department was extremely rude and impersonal when I called. Not helpful what so ever and honestly makes me want to change my health care provider.
