I went in to the ER for pneumonia related symptoms on Tuesday October 14. I have been sick for over 7 days with no relief. The girls that checked me in were friendly and even wished me get wells. The vital lady that took me to my room was THE ABSOLUTE WORST! She was not friendly at all, didn’t care how I felt, had to argue or clap back for every thing I explained I was feeling. After having dealt with chronic bowel disease my entire life - this is genuinely the first ER to actually care about easing my symptoms, (well aware there is not fix for this in the ER) had good bedside manner, and just seemed so much better equipped and confident. Thoroughly explains things to you as well instead of rushing through you. Cried because of being listened to which is such a stark contrast than what I’ve encountered before

PLEASE READ... my recent experience at Trinity Health's emergency room, which resulted in an unexpected separate bill from Grand River Emergency Medical Group. After paying my ER visit in full to Trinity Health, I was surprised to receive an additional bill from Grand River for the ER doctor and x-ray equipment. I was not informed beforehand that these services were separate from Trinity Health and would be billed independently, essentially leading to being billed twice for the same visit. Having needed emergency care and hospitalization twice in the last 6 months, I cannot say enough positive words about the professionalism and quality care I received here. Both times I recieved immediate attention. Diagnosis was quick, accurate, and lifesaving!

I went to this hospital for food poisoning, and the worst experience. I waited over an hour and a half in the lobby, then another hour in a room before a doctor even showed up. They ran some blood tests, told me they couldn’t find anything, and sent me home without any treatment or medication. A week later, I got a $2,300 bill for essentially nothing. This place feels like a scam—keeping patients waiting just to charge more. The staff seemed uninterested, and the whole process was frustrating. Avoid this hospital if you can!
