Fell off a ladder and decided the local hospital was the closest option for care. From the minute I walked in the door the staff in the ER was amazing! I was very well cared for and the staff was both caring and attentive to me! Great job NOCH ER staff and kudos to you guys. As far as I'm concerned I received nothing short of the best care and based on yesterday 6/18/26 I would not hesitate to recommend the ER at NOCH!!!

Tldr; every staff member was nice but incompetent or ineffective, especially the doctor (Mitchell Reid). If you want actual effective care with results I suggest going not to this ER. I went into the ER after experiencing pain from a hernia. This happened as I’m recovering from a knee surgery and a complication due to DVT (blood clot) where I am on blood thinners. Spent 6 hours (arrived at 3pm to the ER and left at 9pm) with zero meaningful progress or solutions for next steps regarding my hernia. Staff was all kind ofc bu... read more

Ok. So about a month ago while the kids were in school I had went to their emergency room and while I had sat and been waiting I kept seeing everyone who came in after me go to the back and get triaged for over 2 hours before I had to leave and make my way back home to get my kids off of the bus. The time before that I went the same thing happened to me. If you’re comfortable taking a gamble with your healthcare, this is your destination. Otherwise it may be best to seek care, literally, anywhere else. Expect long waits and feeling like an inconvenience. Dirty waiting room, stained chairs, and an indifferent staff. Yeesh. 🫣 While may be less convenient, UofM Metro or Zeeland are far better options.

I'm with a family member today through his whole treatment process. This hospital has greatly improved beyond my expectations. Our nurse Kaylyn was the best nurse I've ever seen in action. His PA Rachel, was very kind and thorough. Staff are all very kind, compassionate and good listeners. Our wait was also not bad considering the lobby was full. Everything is going by very smoothly.
