My referral was sent over March 27th, I called April 17th because I hadn't heard anything and I was told my referral was still in the Q waiting to be reviewed. Then she said they were not scheduling until July. Ridiculous. I recommend continuing your search for a doctor elsewhere.
The process of getting an appointment is horrible! I called to check if my referral had been rec'd, I was told it hadn't been rec'd and was told to have my dr. Office to resend the referral. Have them fax it twice cause they have problems with rec'ing faxes. I waited 48 hours like the office said before calling. Yep, u guessed it, they said they hadn't rec'd the referral. Terrible the worst group I have ever seen. We waited 3 months for an appointment and the physician was rude, dismissive. The whole staff was terrible we will definitely find a different group. It was a waste of time and money. Just horrible !
The doctors are okay, the administration is horrible. You cannot schedule an appointment from your portal and when you call they are the 2-3 months out. Twice I was 10-15 late (one was an ice storm) and they made me reschedule. The next available was 60 days away! I was put on a cancellation list but never received any calls in two months. This makes it impossible to manage my condition on a timely basis.
Now I understand the reviews. Our doctor here is truly amazing. The nurses and not all but some of the front desk staff are absolutely horrible. This is not the first time nurses have ignored and not listened to anything we have to say. We will be moving our care to U of M as much as we love our doctor. The staff and the nurses make it not worth it any longer. The fact that any nurses during whats already a stressful situation would be so dismissive and just rude is unbelievable.
