Dr. Gates is amazing! She was warm, empathetic, and kind, while also professional and so knowledgeable. She is also the only OB that I’ve experienced that would actively ‘talk’ to my baby during appointments (“Hi sweetheart”, “How are you doing today, baby?”, etc), which I found so sweet! She had such genuine care for both me and baby. She unfortunately was not the doctor on call when I had my baby, but I would definitely recommend her to anyone! We have 3 weeks ish until our sweet babe will be here and I just cannot say enough good things about Dr Kalbfell and her staff that works with her. So professional and kind, caring and makes you feel like you’re one of their own. Nurse Terry makes me feel so comfortable from the time she gets us from the waiting room until we leave. Remembering not only me every time but also my husband and what we do for a living and always asking how we are. 11/10 recommend.

This was my first time here and I am honestly shocked at some of the negative reviews I saw before my appointment. The staff at the front desk were very friendly- it was clean and spacious for a waiting room which was so appreciated! I was in the room at exactly 8:30 and the nurse was extremely kind, quick and thorough. Melissa (my doctor) was so friendly that I instantly felt at ease. This is so nice and not very common anymore. I’m sharing my experience so other patients, especially those without insurance, can be more cautious. A few years ago I was diagnosed with an ovarian endometrioma (commonly called a chocolate cyst). During my visit, the doctor strongly encouraged me to get an MRI at their facility. To persuade me, she even pulled out her phone and showed me photos of couple other patients’s tumor. Called to make an appointment and over the phone told me the wrong date so when I showed up they told me that my appointment was last week and that I “no- showed” when it was the lady’s fault who told me it was the following week.
