Scheduled a Save my Spot on Wednesday for Thursday morning at 8:15 am. Received a text message Thursday morning that it was time to go to my appointment, so I promptly drove to the Urgent Care center only to find it closed. No one was at the front desk, front doors would not open- no one was there! I called the center’s phone number and spoke to a call center rep who suggested I knock on some doors because “they should be open”. I booked our urgent care visit online. We were greeted, checked in quickly and placed in a room quickly. Upon room placement, possible tests were taken based on symptoms, to expedite results. Thorough exam of my sick child, lead me to bring in another child with the same diagnosis. Both experiences today were 5 star. I am grateful this urgent care is close to home. Thank you!
Receptionist last night cared little that I was unable to pay for services, she insisted I pay before being seen (understandable) then threatened to withhold care unless I make some sort of payment. This is also my primary care facility, Instead of berating the people who seek treatment, assist them. Get a social worker of some sort to assist those of us who are uninsured. HINT: Use the “save my spot” feature online to schedule a time before you go for walk-ins. We have taken our child here 7 times since moving to Michigan last summer. We’ve always been walk-ins; early, late, even near closing time and they’ve always taken good care of our son. Our typical visit takes about 30 mins -2 hours (at most) depending on how busy they are versus staffing. I love this place! My daughter is a gymnast, we got X-rays back in minutes. Covid test with in 15 minutes. The staff is so friendly! The hospital is clean. And I’ve never waited less time in an urgent care. Thank you for being close to home.
