HINT: Use the “save my spot” feature online to schedule a time before you go for walk-ins. We have taken our child here 7 times since moving to Michigan last summer. We’ve always been walk-ins; early, late, even near closing time and they’ve always taken good care of our son. Our typical visit takes about 30 mins -2 hours (at most) depending on how busy they are versus staffing. Visited this location multiple times since it is in the VA community care network. Never had a problem with billing. This last time however, they just decided to not bill to VA community care, and leave me with the bill. Truely negligent and now im left with a bill that I was not prepared for. They claim they attempted to bill VA CC, but they denied it. After speaking with the VA, they said there was never an attempt to properly bill my visit.

I was at the IHA UC in Howell the other day . The front desk person was so unprofessional. Was on his phone texting, didn't look up once. When I checked in at kiosk there was a lady and her son sitting there. The front desk person didn't call her up for 5 minutes or more. Had to finish his text first. Then a lady came out of the UC to check out and no one was at the desk. The lady waited and waited. She went over to the other side to check out and was told he couldn't help her. I’m disgusted and disappointed at the complete lack of care, concern and mis-diagnosis. The doctor was more concerned about closing for the day than properly diagnosing my child. After telling me my child’s ears were PERFECTLY fine. Then she refused to look in his nose and throat because “he’s already been on antibiotics so there’s no point in looking”. I was seen at this location for a UTI, the provider prescribed an antibiotic. I went home and took the medication and had a significant reaction to it. I called first thing the next morning to inform them about the severity of the reaction and request an alternative medication. Hours passed and I never received a call back. I called again and expressed my frustration as a UTI is very uncomfortable and can progress quickly.
