I had a terrible experience with “Brenda” at Trinity Whitehall Lab—not once, but twice! The first time, I could tell something was off because her hands were shaking, almost like she had tremors. She tried to draw my blood and poked me three or four times without success. After failing repeatedly, she threw her hands up and said, “Ugh! I give up!” Another staff member had to step in and got it done quickly. I went in because I couldn't turn my head without severe pain. The doctor looked very young, which wasn't a problem, but he sent me to the emergency room. He told me that he thought that I might have meningitis, even though I had no symptoms. I didn't have meningitis. It was Torticollis.
I’m shocked at how unprofessional the behavior of the staff is at this lab. They allowed a stranger to stand over me and comment on my arms, which were bruised from multiple blood draws, while the phlebotomist was working. When one phlebotomist was not able to draw blood, she called another who then proceeded to ask me if I was a “problem child.“ What?! Coupled with zero management of the waiting area (people talking loudly on speakerphone within sight and earshot of the receptionist) this was a terrible experience.
I walked right in and was taken care of immediately. I've never experienced a long wait at this facility . I needed blood drawn. They drew my blood. SUCCESS!!!
I have a extreme fear of needles and was terrified going in due to horrible past experiences elsewhere. When I got to the Whitehall lab, the receptionist greeted me and I told her about my fear. She tried making me comfortable by asking about my life to get my mind off of what was about to happen. Then I went to the back to the chair where they draw blood and saw my worst fear.
