I had a wonderful experience delivering at the birthing center . The nurses were extremely kind, and Dr. Zhu was amazing. Everything went smoothly overall. The hospital was very busy with many deliveries, so there were slight delays at times, but nothing major. The entire team from the epidural specialist to the doctors, nurses, and staff was encouraging, positive, and supportive. The doctor was very thorough, made me feel well cared for. I will never step foot in the emergency room again! Been here 4 times in the last 5 years & I'm done. I was in extreme pain & ended up leaving cause there was no end in sight. I don't have 12 hours to be waiting in an emergency situation, went to St. Joes & received phenomenal care. My time & health is precious to me.
BIRTHING CENTER : This is for the Birthing Center . I just want to say Thankyou so much for all the nurses and the care team I had while in labor and delivery. The cleanliness and care has been great the past two times that mom has been hospitalized. The doctor called me within 10 minutes when I told the nurse that I had a few questions. I definitely feel safe having my mother here. I dont know why they dont have 5 stars.
I was treated here for mental health/substance abuse issues. I was treated in the Mental Health Unit on the 5th floor. It seems not many know about this unit. Four hallways this intersect in the middle, which is where the nurse station is. They let you order anything on their extensive menu, and when I say extensive I mean brownies and ice cream and meatloaf and sorbet and omelettes and build your own pizza, burgers, etc. The staff are prompt and the standard stay is 7-14 days.
