We had a routine 9 month appointment scheduled with Dr. Hollingsworth, which we kept given our son had contracted an illness which was impacting his respiratory system. Our son had been battling his symptoms for 5 days by the time we saw Dr. Hollingsworth without improvement, even supplementing with over the counter cold medicine for infants along with other at-home care suggestions to alleviate a cold without medical intervention. This office is the worst! Everyone is always rude even on the phone. I’ve been wanting to find a new doctor the minute I started here but it’s always a hassle so I thought I’d stick it out. They don’t listen and make you feel judged and even the people at the front desk are rude. I’ve spoke with Katie at front desk multiple times and on the phone she sounds rude and isn’t very pleasant to speak with. The doctor I seen also barely ever listened and was not pleasant to be in the room with.
Had the worst experience in the Byron Center office today with Dr. Henny. I have had 13 prior knee surgeries and a partial knee replacement 2 1/2 years ago and today went in because I have been having issues with my partial knee replacement popping out of place and all Dr. Henny said was there’s nothing he can do for me, but my knee has to break Before they will do anything for me. Great care, top shelf. But they should move their handicap parking sign bases off the sidewalk. Current location makes sidewalk impassable once a car parks in one of the spots. I would suggest moving them to the grass. Landscapers may not like it, but users of wheelchairs, walkers, and personal mobility devices would no longer be forced into a vehicle traffic area to transition from their vehicles to the facility and back. Please make this change happen.
Do NOT go to this facility for Emergency Care! I was sent away twice, before finally going to the St. Mary's ER on the advice of my primary doctor. Turns out that I had a life-threatening condition that required immediate surgery. The nursing staff in Byron Center was condescending and not helpful, and the doctor did not bother to analyze what was going on with me. If you have a true emergency, do NOT go here!
