Blonde girl with piercings is great- cared about her job and does it well. Balding old guy left the counter and someone standing there for 5 minutes and then when I made some noise so they knew I was there he came out and looked at me like i killed his friend. Very unfriendly, didn’t even bother with faking pleasantries for saving face with his job.
Before it was purchased by True North, this place rocked! Swanny's used to have amazing pizzas and sandwiches with people who really cared. Now it's just a cheap feeling corporate gas station. They carry half the products they used to, no more pizza, and cheap microwaveable sandwiches. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Roy's General Store is still family owned and they have fresh food every day.
Great store! Don't listen to the nay sayers. One was an ex employee that was disgruntled and the other was her friend/family member. Everytime I go in, they have hot pizza, a nice pop machine, and tons of choices for food and drinks. Employee's were always nice and courteous. There is a large base of regulars that go daily if that tells ya anything. And no I do not work there. Employees touch money all day, they dont wash their hands then they go make a pizza. The pop nozzels on the fountain pop machine are molded and nasty. They dont clean the slicer that they use to prep food. Dont eat or drink anything from this store. Way over priced and the staff are rude and have ugly sour faces. Not too long & they will be shut down.
Not much selection and the prices for beer and snacks is expensive compared to the marathon across the street from the casino so yeah.. if u dont have wheels then be aware you're gonna be spending a couple extra bucks for what you need or want..
