Not having to drive to LaJolla or Hillcrest is the big plus for this location. My only complaint is that I had to fill out a bunch of forms when I arrived that I would have preferred to do at home prior to the visit like most UCSD appointments. Everyone was friendly and the nurse and doctor were very helpful. This was my consult appointment and all questions were answered. Dr. Mansy and her staff at SB Radiation Oncology have been more than friendly, compassionate, and professional. Special shout out to Nurse Kristine for helping me with my disability paperwork and the technicians that helped me every day for 7 weeks! Facility is clean, quiet and nice.
I received radiation treatment at UC San Diego Health in Chula Vista for recurrent prostate cancer and continue to be impressed by the excellent care. Dr. Evan White is knowledgeable, compassionate, and always takes time to answer my questions. All the techs who worked with me over the eight weeks of my daily treatment were kind, knowledgeable, polite and caring. During a stressful time they made me feel at ease and comfortable. The front desk and intake staff were friendly and welcoming.
