How have I been here 3 days in a row already?! Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Sunday I brought one item in to sell that I just happened to have in my car. Uptown gave me a 15 min window and was done in that 15 mins. If they accept your items(s) you'll be offered cash or store credit. The store credit will always be the slightly higher amount. First time going to the Beach Blvd/Hodges location and I was excited. Very unwelcoming atmosphere. No hello, good morning, welcome… nothing. I was the only shopper there at the time. All 3 workers were behind the counter totally engrossed in their loud conversation about cats. The store’s appearance was neat and tidy but the workers could use more training about acknowledging a customer’s presence and offering help if necessary. I’ll take my dollars elsewhere…I won’t be back.

My sister told me the one in Miami, fl she and such good experiences shopping that I visit the one on beach. walked in, the Asian woman act like I was invincible she act like she was in such a deep conversation with another employee, no worries I am here to shop not to make friends, the lady at the dressing room was a darling, over all it felt mean girlish, if u have anxiety walking in a new place do not go there u will definitely feel the high school vibes mean girl. if I had to compare Plato’s have a much very welcoming v... read more

Uptown cheapstake, more like Uptown Picky… I brought in a bag of cloths, great condition and some with tags still on them! I had American eagle jeans and j crew top, high end brands. I was told the cloths were not what customers are looking to buy. Meanwhile I see crappy SHEIN items on the wrack!! How can you claim to be cheapstake thrift store when you won’t even take nice brands!..

Sold me a pair of shoes where the buckle was broken on one shoe, making them completely useless. They put one shoe out on display and keep one behind the counter to avoid theft. The shoe on display was totally fine, I didn't even think to look at the shoe from behind the counter once provided to me at checkout. Sure , I should have taken a second look at that one, that's on me. However, I shouldn't HAVE to do that. An honest business would point out the flaw prior to completing the sale.
