I carried Urban Insurance for a # of yrs and was quite satisfied. They were local (Chicago) and I had a personal relationship with the agents & support staff. I never filed a claim so I can't speak to their efficiency with that. I did leave a cpl yrs ago bcuz they gave me a quote and when it was time to renew they withdrew and increased it by a cpl hundred dollars.i. The marketplace was absolutely going crazy with increases and they joined the pack!
Not a great experience, their customer service Phone representatives were incompetent in my opinion, and they had not reported to any bureau that I had been insured Causing me to not to be able to renew my registration for a period of time. I had a traffic incident in which I was attempting to make a claim, and the representative stated that I did not have a That they could see at any point in their system only they call me at continue my policy with them as if it magically still was there Weeks later
We’ve been using Urban Insurance for 10 years and Larry and his mom are an absolute joy to work with. I had been with this car insurance agency for over 25 yrs, and as a loyal customer, there were never any discounts offered for safe or good drivers, senior discounts, nothing offered. Now and then one of the reps would offer to give more time if you didn't have all of your renewal payment. The last 3 year's they have gone up just too much. I called Urban insurance agency to make a payment and on the very first ring a human answered!!! That doesn't happen anymore. I was so happy with the customer service. Sharon does an excellent job! I appreciated that experience very much! We could all use LESS stress! Great job Urban Insurance Agency!
