I have had a great experience with this practice. Dr. Altomare is very easy to talk to. He has a very calming bedside manner! I feel like I’m talking to a friend over the barbecue at a family picnic! I have some anxiety when it comes to seeing Dr.s due to having been pretty ill this summer and Dr. Altomare’s relaxed demeanor is a perfect fit for me!
I've been a patient for many years, and my spouse recently with two principal physicians who are outstanding. They go above and beyond personally; especially if any issues are serious. I won't mention their names as they may not personally be accepting new patients and don't want to put undue pressure upon the organization because they could triple in size and still be difficult to schedule an appointment. The response time for anything with this office is never quick. If you get a referral, don't expect to call back before at least 3 weeks to a month. You need records? It says on the recorded message that they will return your call in 2 days, but that has yet to happen. Leave a message to check on your referral and you don't get a call back. My Dr is great and both check in and check out were courteous and professional; HOWEVER, I have left 3 messages on the prescription line for a medication that needs prior auth WEEKS AGO and I STILL have not received a response NOR the medication and now the script has EXPIRED and the pharmacy needs a new one! Not sure i would recommend this office for this reason alone.
2019 I was here for server abdominal pain. I mean Freddy Kruger trying to rip out of your chest. I came here in the summer and the pain started in Jan/Feb of 2019. The doctor ran tests and an endoscopy on me, and decided it was just GERD. I told him he was wrong and he yelled at me when i asked for a surgeon referral, but reluctantly gave it to me.
