A few years ago Valor Hospice Care came in and were there through my father's death. They were amazing. Just under a year ago I left a14 yr career in behavioral health. Not remembering at that time which hospice care team was there for my dad's last days, I took a position at Valor. The Valor Staff (Intake Nurse, Nurse, Health Tech etc) are absolutely amazing. The care they gave my mom during her final days was excellent. They were all very caring and kind. This was a difficult time for my dad and I. The staff provide us so much support and guidance. The set up process was unbelievable everything was in place to care for my mom at home when we arrived from the hospital. Thank you so much to the entire Valor Hospice staff for the exemplary care and gentle kindness shown to our mom in her final days. We were kept informed throughout the various stages of transition, so that we knew what to expect next and what signs to look for. They took care of my husband. They were great. Showed up when they were supposed to, acted like they really cared about my husband and also me.
I can't say enough about my Dad's care team from Valor. They jumped on board right away and got us all of the supplies and durable medical we needed. They were there when they said they would be and if they were held up for any reason would call and update. They provided us with all medications and new ones as needed along the way. I am blessed that we were able to spend my Dads last few weeks with him in my home. Thanks Valor!
Valor currently gets paid to provide hospice "care" for a veteran in a facility setting. In the past months, the Valor provider has allowed facility staff to perform duties that Valor should be performing. Hasn't showered him. Groomed him or visited. Just drops off sanitation items and leaves. Not impressed Eden Health is more caring attentive and hires employees that actually perform hospice duties with caring concern for patients.
Sad, have always spoke highly of this place but lately it has really gone downhill. The constant change of nurses and the director is condescending and heartless. Glad I made the switch
