I was lucky to find this property, everything I actually wanted, close to major roads and yet tucked away off the beaten path, great views and very well maintained. Toss in the fact when I went in to talk to management, nothing but smiles from the staff. If you are looking on the west side, do yourself a favor and check it out.

Ventana Canyon is the best apartment community I've ever lived at! The view of the Sandia Mountains from my building is breathtaking, and it's even better during Balloon Fiesta. It's a quiet yet active community, perfect for my young family. With several doggy stations & lush grass areas on site, it is such a pet friendly community! Anything I need is within a 1 mile radius of this perfect community - Dining, shopping, schools, hospital, etc.. The staff is courteous, helpful and friendly. Anytime my kids and I are out and about we are always greeted with a friendly wave or smile from the phenomenal staff that keeps this community so great! The quality of my unit is superb for the price. Ventana Canyon is a community for all! more »

I think this is one of the best apartments in Albuquerque. The maintenance is great and typically fix things within the same day the work orders are placed. Also, the apartments are really spacious and I love the fireplace because it makes it so cozy. I feel like this place is a great value for the price I pay. I would definitely recommend. :) more »

I've been here for two months and so far everything has gone well. The area is very quiet around me and no drama yet. I like the fact that there are two BBQ grills in the pool area so I can grill my meals if wanted. The grounds are well maintained and quite beautiful in my opinion. My AC stopped working around the 4th of July and the maintenance guys took care of it as a priority.... My garbage disposal sprouted a good size leak and it was fixed the next day with a brand new GD. Parking can sometimes be a inconvenience, but I don't know of any apartments where that is not an issue. Good place to live. more »

My family has lived here for 3 years now. There was a lot of staff turnover at first but they really have a solid team in place now. Everyone is really friendly, any questions or concerns are answered quickly. Any maintenance issues are quickly dealt with. When we first moved in we had some issues with loud neighbors and late night pool parties but since the current team was put in place we haven't had any issues with it. I feel totally safe here and have no concerns about raising my child here. more »

Office staff are nice. I like my spacious one bedroom apartment. I also like that my apartment comes with a washer and dryer. But I have several dislikes, such as $25 fee for private covered parking (with limited uncovered parking space), heater is run by water heater (making water heater sound like a coffee pot brewing) doesn't warm the apartment well (windows aren't energy/weather efficient, and mailbox keyhole jams (mailman suggestion was spray wd40 into the keyhole). The apartment complex entrance to traffic flow is not safe more »

I fell through a manhole a 1 1/2 years ago. Had my surgery and some serious complications occurred during surgery. I now have therapists coming on Presbyterians in home therapy and nursing service. My physical therapist said the gym that we have here is the best she has seen in any apartment complex. My wife is wheelchair bound for 38 years and while we remodel our own home to better fit the needs of wheelchair access, we have found that this unit although not listed as ADA c...
See More ompliant is actually better designed for a wheelchair access than the previous apartment we were in. I am especially grateful for this particular complex's staff. The response on repair requests is fast and the service people are courteous and polite and respectful of special needs. I highly recommend this apartment complex as a top choice for a place to live! You won't be sorry if you decide to move in here!

I lived in those apts for several years.Large floorplans.Laundry Room in apt.On a big street so kind of isolated from potential outside crime, disturbance, homelessness, wandering strangers.Do rent a carport.Don't rent near road.A few years before there was no wall and someone drove right into a tree in front of one of the buildings. more »

I've lived here for two years and am due to resign my lease next month. My rent has only increased by $10.00 per year, so I feel that is fair, although I am paying $870.00 a month for a 2 bedroom (which includes water and monthly "pet" rent). There are much more affordable places to live in Albuquerque, although overall, I have been happy with my experience here - maintenance requests have always been handled within 48 hours, and the pool and grounds are well-kept by the staff. They just added new equipment to the gym, which is a great asset. The floorplan is spacious, and having a full-size washer and dryer in your own laundry room is fantastic! Parking can be a problem at times, especially if you get home late in the evening or on the weekends. Walls seem a bit on the thin side - I can hear my upstairs neighbor walk around, and occasionally loud music from the younger kids who just moved in next door. They do have security patrolling the area, but my car was broken in to 2 months after I moved in, and I have had holiday decorations stolen from my patio and from outside my front door - but I think that is more of an issue with this being Albuquerque, rather than the apartment complex itself! more »
