I will admit we did not have a great experience my first time at VCG, but this year was such an improvement thanks to Dr. Gaymon and our vet tech Kimberly. On our first visit we had a pretty unkind vet (who, very notably, has since left the practice) who told me that my dog had to be brought to the back without me for vaccines, which unfortunately left him pretty traumatized for this year. I called to try to get a short notice appointment for my cat as I suspected she might have a UTI. While VCG Greenpoint didn't have any appointments available, the receptionist I spoke to on the phone was incredibly helpful. She suggested several urgent cares in the area to try, and after following her suggestion I was able to have my cat seen at an urgent care super close to my apartment in a matter of hours. I love with the love that they treat my Lautaro! i have seen different practices in the neighborhood with no luck! they care about you and your pet!

Avoid at all costs. They try to upcharge you at every turn. A vet tech says their costs are "based on location, Greenpoint is quite expensive." Least professional animal care I've personally experience. The vet physically walked away while I was still asking questions, despite charging $75 for the visit.

Was a patient a little while back and was always being up charged. Never a consistent vet or consistent treatment plan. Switched to Greenpoint veterinary hospital and never been happier!

This clinic used to be run by a company called Milo Greenpoint and they were great. It is now called VCG and they are extremely unprofessional. They lost all of my history and said that they could not get it back because they switched softwares. On top of that, I scheduled an appointment for a nail trim and when I got there, they did not take the time to look up the purpose of the appointment and did a full check up. Receptionist refused to discuss pricing with me. Price transparency is critical in medicine. and receptionists and other practice administrators at many of the vet offices are unprepared to discuss pricing or refuse to transfer calls to the individual who is in a position to discuss them. When questions go unanswered, the message is to go elsewhere. Is this what the owner of the practice wants?
