I had a dental emergency just days before a big meeting and was in disarray. With the help of all the amazing people at this office, I was treated quickly. They made sure I was comfortable, the dental issue was repaired, and they treated me so kindly throughout. I am just so overjoyed at the quality of work that I received and the customer service. I had a great experience at VB Family Dental. The doctor and hygienist were both fantastic—very professional, gentle, and thorough. The front desk staff was mostly friendly and helpful, making the check-in and scheduling process smooth. However, I did have a less-than-pleasant interaction with one staff member, Jennifer. Each time I spoke with her, she seemed to have an attitude, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I called this afternoon to schedule an appointment. I explained I just had a cleaning a week prior somewhere else, but wanted to switch to a different practice due to the other dental office not fully performing cleanings and had not polished my teeth any of the times I was scheduled for cleanings (even after advocating for myself). I made an appointment for my adult disabled brother. On the phone I made it clear he is disabled and that he needs special care and attention and what insurance he has so they scheduled him for July 23rd at 11:30. My mom showed up with my brother at 11:33 and the front desk receptionist was extremely angry at my mother and brother. She was arguing that my mom “should have known” to come 30 minutes early if you’re a first time patient. We had a fantastic experience at VA Beach Family Dental! The staff was professional, friendly, and made us feel completely at ease from the moment we walked in. They were able to get my son in for an examination right away, which we really appreciated. Everyone we interacted with was kind, efficient, and clearly cared about providing great care. Highly recommend!
