I would strongly advise anybody that truly cares about their loved ones to use another hospice company. We contracted with Vital Care Hospice and for 3 weeks they were non-responsive and uncaring, especially on the weekends or over the holidays. Their typical response when we called the Hotline was either we don't do that or a nurse will call you and schedule a visit (which never happened). This company was horrible. Their wonderful worker took her time getting me on service after meeting with my doctor several times. My doctors decided from my diagnosis & decline that hospice was a better fit for me. I got on with this company. Their liason did a wonderful job explaining services to me & letting me know what to expect. She also provided me with a lot of paper education. Once I started service things took a turn.
