While most medical offices understand that insurance coverage can treat multiple MRIs as a single event, this office strictly adheres to a policy that limits the number of MRIs per day. My experience with Washington Radiology has been mixed. The actual process of obtaining imaging — ultrasounds, MRIs, and X-rays — was smooth. The techs who performed the procedures were professional and courteous. However, the real frustration begins after the scan. What good is an expensive diagnostic test if you can’t easily access the results or use them to continue your care? After taking a day off and driving 1 hr., once arrived the receptionist stated the machine for the test went off. When I claimed why nobody called us to saved the trip she said went off 5 mins before our arrival like they didn't care! Did not offer an alternate solution and didn't care about our situation. I have gotten several scans here, the staff are always pleasant and knowledgeable. They are very organized and get your appointments scheduled quickly. Very convenient location handicap accessible with covered entrance. I have found that scans cost less here with my insurance.
Do not use Washington Radiology if you are in a lot of pain and in a hurry for your report. I had an MRI done 9 days ago and still do not have the report. I have literally called everyday to check on the status of the report and have been told by this staff everyday that it is not ready and that the radiologist that read the cervical MRIs are behind. I am in absolute agony and need to make an appointment with a neurosurgeon. The neurosurgeon will not make the appointment until they have the MRI report. Who knows when I will ... read more
