My dad passed away unexpectedly, and I, as a young man only 26 years old, was clueless. Joe helped me through a very difficult time and went out of his way to help me through this. Wonderful respectful staff. They see funerals everyday so I’m sure this is pretty normal for them candidly speaking, but not once did I get the feeling that this was just another day at work for them. They truly do care. Each and every employee showed the upmost respect and made this a comfortable, and surprisingly enjoyable experience

I was really sad when I saw that Gendernalik Funeral Home was sold to Wasik. I have to say this, though: having all our family arrangements there, even for those who are still around. It finally came the time when I had to go there to fulfill my uncle’s last wishes that he had set up with them years prior. We just said goodbye to my husband's grandfather at Wasik Funeral Home. The staff were kind, friendly and helpful. We forgot to bring a knife to cut a cake we had brought for the family to enjoy and asked for assistance. The staff started to look right away for a knife for us. At the end of the evening when we were getting ready to leave they told us to take our time and say our goodbyes. We didn't walk out the door until 8:19pm. OUR experience was awful. They are not a full service funeral home that helps with writing obituaries, or flowers. So many questions were left unanswered until we figured it out on our own. They told us they had a microphone for someone to speak. None of the staff could figure out how to make it work so we couldn't use it. After the very loud screaching from the speakers we finally asked them to just stop it. Even though it was a very difficult time with great sadness in our family, our experience at the Waskik Funeral Home - Gendernalik Chapel gave us great comfort in knowing that our loved one was taken care of in a very professional and caring way.
