I had a great experience at the Quincy Transfer Station. The process is well organized—you drive to designated areas in the yard to unload different types of waste, which makes everything smooth and efficient. When you enter, your vehicle is weighed, and then again before you leave. They accept credit cards but not cash, which is convenient for many people. Super bunch of friendly folks at the Quincy Transfer Station who take their jobs seriously. The grounds seem to be organized well. You drive to designated areas on the yard to unload different types of waste. Wished their Saturday hours were longer. To recycle plastic bottles, cardboard, etc. there is a fee of $3.00. (This is a disappoint) They gladly accept tires for a fee. $10 per tire without rim and $15 per for tire /rim attached. Your vehicle is weighed upon entering the grounds and prior to leaving. The people at Quincy waste had to work on Christmas Eve. I think that deserves a five star when it comes to the workers. Maybe not so much for the county for making there workers, work on Christmas Eve. I would have been happy to wait till after Christmas. Thank you to the workers
