<p>On Thanksgiving day in 2013 I called for service since there was no heat at all. Mr. Butler himselfpicked up the phone and was able to have someone come out that day to fix it. </p> <p>So when there was a problem this year, I called Butler again. They could not come until the next day so I went with someone else. The other company said major work need to be done -- burned out board, etc., etc. and would cost $1100 and that we should replace it for $3000-$4000. My daughter's gas furnace quit working on Wednesday afternoon. I called Butler at 6:30 AM on Thursday morning and Chet Butler answered the phone. He had Terry call me about 7:20 am to schedule the appointment for the Service Technician. Mike arrived at 12:30 pm and diagnosed the problem, went to get the part and finished the repair by 2:30PM.chelle Lane <br />

This was not an e-z job. We have a finished basement. John (Butler's licensed gas fittter) snaked the line thru a large channel in the ceiling that contained all utility and equipment lines (HVAC, Vacuum, electrical). Then up to the kitchen and kept the gas line and valve as close as posible to the wall to prevent the range from pertruding out from the counter tops and cabinets. <br />

Very unhappy experience with W.C. Butler. Called during the Spring and was told it was too cold to check my non-functioning A/C, so I called back later on a warmer day and was told the man would come out and check it. Waited all day and called them twice to confirm he was coming out when finally at the end of the day, "Don" called me and told me in no uncertain terms that my A/C was evidently a "leaker" and that it would need work and that I should call back at another time so I complied. I called them on Friday, August 17th and a technician came on Monday, August 20th. I informed the receptionist when I called that I noticed some icing on a cable and said that I knew the unit defrosts and will show ice but I hadn't seen it on this piece of equipment before. She told me that de-icing happens in the winter when it is heating and said that it would need to be checked. The technician arrived late Monday afternoon around 4:45pm. He showed up on time and I am sure the system would have been quality. But,after several estimates, their's was 5000 dollars more for the install of a heat pump and gas furnace. I found a company doing less work for just over 6000 dollars. <br /> What really upset me was I advised the estimator that this was a rental property. But, after he completed the estimate, he leftwhat I would call "personal/confidential" information (regarding the cost of the system) with the tenant.
