I visited this facility I toured for my mother. It was very well-run, very efficient and I was happy with the rooms and things available. I saw an individual room for one person. It has a seating area with a bed in the same area and then a little kitchen and a bathroom. It's clean, spacious, and very well laid out. They have a dining hall, and they have places where they gather for activities. There are lots of activities for them to participate in if they want to. I met the resident coordinator and financial people and I th... read more

I visited this facility We visited Talmage Terrace for my mom. The tour was good, and the staff were very good. The facility was nice, and the rooms were spacious and very nice. I think they had an exercise room. We did not actually see it, but I think I read that they do have an exercise room. They don't have as much outdoor space as the other community had, as far as a garden and outdoor seating goes. They have some available, but they just did not have the outdoor advantages, I guess. The location is fine; it is in town a... read more

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident Independent living is the main thing in Lanier Gardens, but it also involves a meal once a day. It's a good facility, except that they all have one-bedroom apartments on that side. On the Talmage side the entry fee is a quarter of a million dollars, plus about $3,500 a month, and we weren't up for that kind of pricing. Talmage is wonderful if you've got enough money, while Lanier has been here for years and it's great for one person, but the rooms are not big enough for mo... read more

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident We were devastated when my mom fell a year ago and became wheelchair dependent. Looking at many care facilities, it became clear to us to choose Talmage. It is a very high scale assisted living environment and my mom loves it. She looks so much healthier because their food is not only delicious but very balanced, high quality meals and treats.. Also, being around others has brought out her social side😊. Talmage has handled the pandemic like they have any obstacle, it seem... read more

I visited this facility Wendy Smith at Talmage Terrace has graciously worked with 2nd grade students at one of the local schools! The students have had the opportunity to share their stories with the residents, play games, create fun crafts together, and learn from the seniors! The students have had an amazing experience working with the seniors. This experience has given the students an opportunity to develop leadership skills in an authentic experience to serve their community! Thank you, Wendy and Talmage Terrace for your... read more

I visited this facility Lanier Gardens was a very large, nice facility, but we’ve come to realize that a smaller place is much better. It’s sort of noisy with so much activity and so many people that it could disturb my relative who has Alzheimer’s. The food looked very good. They had various forms of exercise, swimming, walks, excursions, and arts and crafts.

I visited this facility We visited Talmage Terrace. They have a garden where the residents can grow vegetables if they want to. It was a more vertical facility but my mom doesn't like riding the elevator. There were no ground level apartments available. The staff was excellent -- we were invited to dinner and the food is excellent. They are friendly and my mother could have been happy there.
