Get directionsI spent 4 months at Westwind, and my experience there was absolutely amazing. From the moment I walked in, I felt supported, respected, and truly cared for. The staff is incredibly compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional, going above and beyond to make sure every individual gets the care they need. The program itself is well-structured and comprehensive, offering a perfect balance of therapy, education, and community support. The therapists were phenomenal, helping me address not only my addiction but also the underl... read more
I have been to A LOT of treatment centers - good, bad, mediocre. It's not something I necessarily advertise as an accomplishment, but I do think it qualifies this review. Believe me when I say, Westwind is perhaps the best Intensive Outpatient (IOP) program I have every completed. It's well-organized, the groups are interactive, and the people truly care. When you've been in and out of treatment centers as much as I have, you get used to a tough-love ethos. You get used to being treated like a child, like you shouldn't have... read more
If you want support and want to get sober, absolutely look at westwind as they are very strong in their clinical programming. I cannot say enough great things about it. Ryan Peterson and Carli Buxbaum are superstars. However, Westwind’s sober living component is far from perfect. It’s actually detrimental to your health. As someone who has experience staying at their Houdini and Laurel Canyon homes, it is not worth going when you have supervisors like Nick Thorsen and, even worse, Anna James. As a client in good standing th... read more
I had the most amazing experience at Westwind. I did not want to come to treatment, but after starting there, knew I wanted to stay. Everything from housing to the program was amazing. I stayed at the Maryland house for women which I highly recommend. The house managers are so personable and the house is clean. The IOP is full of the best staff you will find!! Erana, Jake, Robin, KC, Mikey, Jordan, Max, Connor and many more. The group facilitators and therapists changed my life, especially Toni, Sue and Jen. I forgot many pe... read more
I completed 4 months of outpatient treatment. I was not given any after care planing. I put together my own after care treatment the day before my discharge date. I relapsed a month and a half later. After completing detox this past week I tried to re-admit to Westwind and denied me for being an opiate addict stating I'm too high risk. They lost their license for addiction treatment. Stay away. Don't shoot your wounded.
