The food here is truly terrible. Unfortunately, I dined here 3 times over the course of my week stay at the Windrift. Not because the service or food was good, but only because it’s convenient. The chicken salad croissant was extremely dry, all three sushi rolls I tried were made with low quality fish, squishy rice and were loosely rolled, so the roll fell apart while being picked up. The only decent thing on the menu was the lobster bisque. Also, keep in mind that there are no reservations for outdoor seating.
It's was over priced. The food wasn't that good. Take the kids chicken finger out of the basket so parents don't have to ask for another plate. The server was busy and took forever. Had to put ketchup on a drink lids. The four meatballs were the only thing that had good flavor.
Level 2 is a stop on every visit. We just love the casual atmosphere with the ocean overlook. The lobster bisque and sushi rolls are our favorites. Great cocktails too!!!
We ate here at least 3 times this summer. The food including the sushi is basically 3 stars. It's just ok. The sushi is different than it was with the prior owner and I'm not the only one to say it. They need to kick it up a notch for next season. The atmosphere is 5 stars. Great views of the beach and the ocean. The bands at night and Jim Banach in the piano lounge are so much fun. We've gone here for years. Now our kids are going and having a great time. Another summer in the history books.
Sat at the bar - female bartender provided excellent service! Soup & clams were great! Smallest Margarita in the WORLD!! 3 SIPS at most! Brother-in-law ordered chicken wings cooked “well done” - not only were they not well done but they were UNDERCOOKED!! After his verbal feedback the wings were made again and they were again UNDERCOOKED! My wife and I have been coming to the shore from Wisconsin since 1986 and have eaten numerous times there. We have a tradition of having Pina Coladas, but not going to happen ever again!
