I was referred to Dr. Gainey for 3D imaging because there was a concern that I might need a root canal. Since the 3D imaging can be expensive, I asked his assistant whether it would be possible to diagnose the issue using regular X-rays instead. Dr. Gainey was kind, calm and professional throughout every aspect of this process. During my consult, he sat me down and showed me the X-rays. He explained everything in a way I could truly understand and gave me the opportunity to explore every possible avenue before making my decision. Is it possible to be too friendly? I walked in with a terrible infection after being referred five minutes earlier, and thirty minutes later I was getting a root canal. Not exactly how I expected my day to go. During and after the procedure, my body wouldn’t stop shaking and I was in serious pain. The team made sure I was okay the entire time, wrapping me in blankets, turning on a heater, and insisting I eat a few cookies before leaving. My husband needed a root canal, and Dr. Gainey was recommended- and we’re so happy he was! He was very patient, understanding and explained everything fully. He was so friendly and thorough, and made what should be a not so fun experience, bearable! I’d recommend Dr. Gainey to anyone!
