Visited the services of York Cemetery and Funeral Centre in Toronto for a relative’s visitation. The staff were compassionate and helped guide us with clear directions. The facility was quiet, clean, and arranged in a way that felt respectful and serene. Everything ran smoothly and was handled with care. Overall, a beautiful and professional location.
a very lovely place. probably the best (and most peaceful) time to visit is in the late afternoon/evening and weekends, as during business hours lots of work it can be a bit noisy (grass cutting, and some construction). As an Eastern European I was very moved to discover many graves of people from that part of the world (Ukraine, Latvia, etc). I only wish there were more benches (especially in shaded spots). I very nice place to go for a walk and/or explore.
A fantastic place for someone who adores tombstones and their messages to take a walk for the first time! I visited on a foggy day, and even though it was in the middle of a crowd, it was quite empty and quiet.
Water was shut off in section A today. Poor flowers that families have planted will all die in the 34 degrees this week. At least if notices were posted instead of sending people on a wild goose chase to check all the taps. The gardeners weedwhack plants left right and centre. Nobody cares.
