Although the location is good, we’ve experienced repeated serious maintenance issues. We’ve had water damage to the kitchen flooring twice, with boards lifting and prolonged moisture, a broken sink that leaked for days due to delayed and incomplete repairs, and the apartment clearly hadn’t been cleaned at move-in, with lots of dust and dirt. Short review: If you value your health and self respect, I’d refrain from living in this complex. Terrible management, lackluster maintenance, no regard for tenant health or safety, and so much more. Long Review: After not being notified of a flood, for 3 months my room sat in shambles when I had expensive items laying around; if I was at least notified I would’ve came back and moved them out. Not sure where to start, but I'll just leave my most recent grievance. To preface, the starting price for rent at the Standard is set at hundreds of dollars above the average College Station rent price. Most recently, management has decided to change the trash policy so that residents have to dispose of EVERY cardboard box themselves, directly at the dumpster. The five star reviews are fake and paid for in exchange for free food. No way any sane person would give this place 5 stars if they lived here. You'll notice if you filter reviews to "newest" and look at reviews 2 months older than my post, you will see a whole bunch of 5 star reviews that are short and quite frankly fake. ZERO STARS!! This place is AWFUL!!!! My daughter’s apartment flooded their first night and no one would come to fix it. Then they dried out the nasty carpet and laid it back down. She had constant mold problems. Her bathroom plumbing never worked and was never fixed correctly. Now they are charging us for damages from the flood. DO NOT rent here! Literally a tent outside would be a better option!
