Although the location is good, we’ve experienced repeated serious maintenance issues. We’ve had water damage to the kitchen flooring twice, with boards lifting and prolonged moisture, a broken sink that leaked for days due to delayed and incomplete repairs, and the apartment clearly hadn’t been cleaned at move-in, with lots of dust and dirt. Management has been unhelpful and ineffective at resolving issues in a timely or thorough manner. Not worth the rent. I would not recommend.

Not sure where to start, but I'll just leave my most recent grievance. To preface, the starting price for rent at the Standard is set at hundreds of dollars above the average College Station rent price. Most recently, management has decided to change the trash policy so that residents have to dispose of EVERY cardboard box themselves, directly at the dumpster. I have lived here for over a year. This place gets more hate than it deserves, its not amazing but it has a great location to campus and northgate, decent amenities, and the apartment units aren't too bad (compared to nearby alternatives). Short review: If you value your health and self respect, I’d refrain from living in this complex. Terrible management, lackluster maintenance, no regard for tenant health or safety, and so much more. Long Review: After not being notified of a flood, for 3 months my room sat in shambles when I had expensive items laying around; if I was at least notified I would’ve came back and moved them out. All of these negative reviews are 100% accurate. The location and tour look great when you visit for the first time but the actual apartment you get is a joke. We are on our second year and it was a huge mistake. We will not be renewing. The new apartment was filthy when we moved in. We were told it was not their responsibility bc there was a renewal in the unit. That makes zero sense when we signed a new lease. Multiple issues in the apartment that still haven’t been fixed.
