Do not live here. I have lived in just about every housing situation possible in Charlottesville, and the Standard was by far the worst. The appliances barely worked (dishwasher never fully cleaned dishes, stovetop worked maybe half the time), the apartment was gross when we moved in, and the management was horrible. We had an incident where the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and as we evacuated, the hallway was filled with smoke, making the entire floor panic. Clay, the head of maintenance, was super quick to fix my problem and very nice. Awesome guy. Edited to 2 stars - wifi has been out whole weekend, emailed and filed maintenance requests. No communication whatsoever from yugo crestline. No work, wifi, no Super Bowl.
EXCELLENT STAFF!!!! They are some of the most helpful people! The amenities are excellent! So many wonderful things to do and fun events. Only rooftop pool in Charlottesville! And close to some amazing restaurants too!
Useless staff in general and if you ever want to call you can only speak to their even more useless AI bot Athena. They nickel and dime every penny possible out of you to an absurd and very deceptive level. No way to successfully contact them for anything except giving them more money or submitting a waste-of-time (maintenance request that never gets addressed). Smelly hallways with weird wet spots on the carpet and ceilings throughout. Even more gross, the stains and wet spots are from their trash cans leaking rotten garbag... read more
I love living at the Standard! It’s so nice having all of the amenities like a gym, pool, and courtyard right there. I remember having to walk to the gym my first year and that in itself already felt like a workout, so I definitely appreciate the convenience. The people at the front desk are so nice and have always answered all of my questions, and the lobby is decorated super cute for the holidays!! 10/10 recommend, so glad I’m able to live here 3/4 years of my college experience:)
