Do not live here. I have lived in just about every housing situation possible in Charlottesville, and the Standard was by far the worst. The appliances barely worked (dishwasher never fully cleaned dishes, stovetop worked maybe half the time), the apartment was gross when we moved in, and the management was horrible. We had an incident where the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and as we evacuated, the hallway was filled with smoke, making the entire floor panic. EXCELLENT STAFF!!!! They are some of the most helpful people! The amenities are excellent! So many wonderful things to do and fun events. Only rooftop pool in Charlottesville! And close to some amazing restaurants too!
Useless staff in general and if you ever want to call you can only speak to their even more useless AI bot Athena. They nickel and dime every penny possible out of you to an absurd and very deceptive level. No way to successfully contact them for anything except giving them more money or submitting a waste-of-time (maintenance request that never gets addressed).
