The Apartment sign covers our entire living room window! We voiced these concerns to our to the property manager and property owners and they did not help at all. We were offered no compensation or solutions to the issue and they basically told us "too bad." Also the parking deck has tiny spaces that they currently charge $160 a month for and on top of that my roommate has a yellow pole IN her parking spot. This apartment complex is perfect on the outside, but I will not be returning after living here for an entire year, and I would highly advise against anyone considering. The one star is solely for the maintenance team--- who were super timely, kind, and great at their job. Putting in a work order was very easy and they always got to it as fast as they could. I am an international student and, having vacated the accommodation at the end of April 2025, I am disappointed to still not have received my security deposit, which had been promised to me by the end of August 2025. We are now approaching the end of November 2025, and despite several follow-up attempts on my part, I have not received any satisfactory response. This situation is unacceptable.
First, keep in mind that The Standard offers free stuff in exchange for good reviews, so I’d recommend taking the 5-star reviews with a grain of salt. Pros: • Location: Great spot, although other residences are in the same area—nothing unique to The Standard. • Maintenance: The maintenance team is excellent. Do not live here 😁 The location is nice, but there are multiple much better quality complexes to live in that are even closer to campus. Ventilation system has cockroaches, fire alarm goes off at 3 am all the time, parking is not guaranteed, wi-fi was out all the time (including most of the beginning of finals), do not let the amenities/pretty courtyard entice you!!! Living here is essentially throwing money into the garbage. Go to stanhope, uncommon, etc… anywhere but here.
